Ian and Mickey return home, planning to have their first official date as couple. However, when they arrive, they discover that Sammi has called in army officials to inform them of Ian's desertion. Ian is arrested and taken away, just as Fiona arrives, and Sammi proclaims this is retaliation for Chuckie's imprisonment.
After threatening the club's owner, Mickey discovers that Ian has become a lap dancer by the name of Curtis. Mickey informs Ian of Fiona's arrest and urges him to come back home, but Ian, having used drugs, is not interested. Ian later passes out outside the club; Mickey decides to take Ian to his house, upsetting Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter).

In the season finale, Ian and Mickey attempt to get married, only to have Terry burn down their wedding venue. Ian's friends and family come together to plan a new ceremony on short notice at a polka hall owned by an old flame of Frank's. Though Terry again tries to interrupt, Ian's former Gay Jesus followers step in to keep Terry from succeeding.
