The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, formally designated as the "Official Orchestra of the City of Ithaca," has been bringing a wide variety of classical music to audiences of all ages for over three decades. The Orchestra was founded by Charles E.L. McCary in May 1976 when a group of local professional musicians debuted as the Finger Lakes Orchestra.

Kitchen Theatre Company was created in 1991. KTC resided at the Clinton House from 1995 to 2009. In 2010, Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC) moved to 417 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, making history by becoming the first theater company in Ithaca to own its own location.

NYSCA's local grant making organization, Statewide Community Regrant Partners (SCR), is a partnership between the state council and regional arts councils and organizations. The partnership enables funding through all 10 regions across New York, to provide support through various art sectors.
The Hangar offers programs that bring theatre arts into the schools of children in the Ithaca area. Artists-in-Schools initiatives bring Hangar artists into elementary and middle schools to collaborate with classrooms in creating original plays with music. From 2022-2024, Anne Hogan served as the first dean for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance since its merge with the Department of Theatre Arts.
