Hammer of the Gods is a book written by music journalist Stephen Davis, published in 1985.It is an unauthorized biography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin.Davis travelled with Led Zeppelin for two weeks at the beginning of the band's 1975 U.S. Tour, while he was a music journalist at Rolling Stone magazine.
The album was released on 20 November in CD, DVD, SD Blu-ray and double vinyl formats, as well as a deluxe box set including a hardback book, reproductions of period-specific tour memorabilia, and an audio recording of Now I'm Here recorded during the band's soundcheck for the show.

There are two unconfirmed theories about the meaning of the title "Listen To This, Eddie". Neither theory has firm evidence to back it up. The first theory is that it is a reference to Eddie Van Halen of the band Van Halen, who in interviews has criticised the playing ability of Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page. [5]
The album was reissued January 8, 2008, with an instrumental bonus track, "Hammer of the Gods," increasing the new track total to twelve. While "Hammer of the Gods" is listed on the track listing of the original American release, it does not actually appear on the CD. However, it does appear on the worldwide Prosthetic Records 2008 reissue.
