Jason Ambroson (born c. 1970) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach for William Jewell College, a position he has held since 2024. [1] [2] [3] He was the head football coach for Moberly High School from 2001 to 2014 and Smithville High School from 2015 to 2023.
The 2022 William Jewell Cardinals football team represented William Jewell College as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) during the 2022 NCAA Division II football season. The Cardinals compiled a 2–9 record (1–5 against conference opponents) and finished fifth in the GLVC.
He was the head football coach for William Jewell College from 2020 to 2022. [2] [3] [4] He also coached for New Hampshire, Princeton, Towson, North Carolina Central, [5] Salisbury, Colorado Mines, [6] [7] [8] and the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football for Towson as a guard and tight end.
On July 24, 2023, William Woods University (alongside St. Ambrose) announced they would join the conference as associate members in football beginning in the 2024 fall season (2024–25 school year). The expansion made it NAIA's largest football conference with 14 teams playing in two divisions. [7]
