The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is set to be the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is scheduled to take place in Basel , Switzerland, following the country's victory at the 2024 contest with the song " The Code " by Nemo .
The competition will consist of four shows: two heats on 14 February 2025 and 15 February 2025, a semi-final on 22 February 2025 and a final on 1 March 2025. In each of the two heats, 12 of the 24 competing acts will compete. A maximum of 14 acts will be selected to proceed to the semi-final where nine acts will be selected to proceed to the final.
The competition took place on 1 February 2025 at the RTVSLO Studio 1 in Ljubljana, hosted by Gregor Štrasbergar and Raiven, the latter of whom represented Slovenia in 2024. [5] [6] The show was broadcast on TV SLO 1 , Radio Val 202, and Radio Maribor , as well as online via the streaming platform RTV 4D.
RAI will organise the Sanremo Music Festival 2025, the 75th edition of the event, between 11 and 15 February 2025. [2] On 20 August 2024, the broadcaster published the rules of the competition, confirming that the winner of the festival's Big Artists section would earn the right to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest. Eurosong 2025 was the national final developed by VRT to select its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The competition consisted of two pre-recorded showcase shows on 18 and 25 January 2025, followed by a live final on 1 February 2025.

The final of Eurosong 2025 took place at the RTÉ Television Centre on 7 February 2025. The results were determined by a combination of votes from a national jury, an international jury and a televote – each awarding sets of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 points – with the latter taking precedence in the event of a tie in the first place.
