The 2012 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in the United Kingdom. [1] It was the 126th edition of the Wimbledon Championships and were held from 25 June to 8 July 2012.
Roger Federer defeated Andy Murray in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 6–3, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. [1] It was his seventh Wimbledon title and 17th major title overall. [2] With the win, Federer also regained the world No. 1 singles ranking.
