Simon Business School (formerly known as the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration) is the business school of the University of Rochester. It is located on the university's River Campus in Rochester, New York. It was renamed in 1986 after William E. Simon (1927–2000), the 63rd United States Secretary of the Treasury.
William Edward Simon (November 27, 1927 – June 3, 2000) was an American businessman and philanthropist who served as the 63rd United States Secretary of the Treasury.He became the Secretary of the Treasury on May 9, 1974, during the Nixon administration.
Between 1967 and 1988, Jensen [9] taught finance and business administration at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration of the University of Rochester, culminating in his 1984-1988 appointment as the LaClare Professor of Finance and Business Administration. In 1974, he co-founded the Journal of Financial Economics.
He is also a member of the executive advisory committee of the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester and of the board of visitors of the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy.

Before joining the Philadelphia Fed, Plosser was the dean of the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester for 12 years. He also served concurrently as the school's John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics and Public Policy.
