Jerome Aloysius Miller (born August 24, 1946) is a contemporary American philosopher and professor emeritus at Salisbury University. Miller's research interests lie in the areas of philosophy of religion and phenomenology. [1] Miller received a B.A. in philosophy from Scranton University, and his doctorate in philosophy from Georgetown University.
Some phenomenologists were critical of the new theories espoused in Ideas. The Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy (SPEP) is a philosophical society whose initial purpose was to promote the study of phenomenology and existentialism but has since expanded to a wide array of contemporary philosophical pursuits, including critical theory, feminist philosophy, poststructuralism, critical race theory, and increasingly non-Eurocentric philosophies.
