Mt. Washington Alpine Resort was established in 1979 by Henry Norie and Alex Linton, two Campbell River businessmen. The idea originated in 1975 when Linton was impressed by Mt. Washington's height and snowpack. Together with Norie, they surveyed the mountain.
The hotel opened in 1978 as the DoubleTree Hotel Jantzen Beach. It was sold to Red Lion in the late 1990s. [citation needed] Howard Dietrich Jr. owned the hotel, as of 2012. [3] The hotel was sold to IHG in early 2022 and soon became the Holiday Inn Portland-Columbia Riverfront. [4]

The Campbell Hotel, located in northwest Portland, Oregon, is a historic former residential hotel that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). [4] It is now an apartment building named the Campbell Court Apartments .
Completed in 1923, the building has also been known as the Martha Washington Hotel and the Hotel Rajneesh. [3] It was bombed in 1983, while operating as Hotel Rajneesh. [ 4 ] Following a $18 million renovation, the building started being used to as affordable housing for more than 100 residents in mid 2010.
