"Ritmo de la noche" (Rhythm of the Night) is a song written by AC Beat, Lagonda, Castioni, and Wycombe, and originally recorded by German house group Chocolate in 1990. It was covered and released in the same year by Mystic, The Sacados, Lorca, and ten other producers.
"La Noche" (translation "the night") is a salsa song written and performed by the Colombian singer Joe Arroyo. [1] Billboard called it a "groundbreaking song" that made Arroyo "a groundbreaking force in Colombian salsa."
The appearance of "Ritmo de la Noche" was the definitive explosion. Obligatory theme in all records, permanently broadcast on the radio and even disputed by several TV programs as a musical curtain. The Sacados became the most popular group in Argentina that summer.
Following the release of Porque Te Quiero, Gutiérrez and De la Fuente suggested the studio musicians to stay permanently in the group, a proposal which they accepted.The new band members used to be part of another Chilean group called Los Minimás, whose music was influenced by the psychedelic funk, which they incorporated in their next recordings with Los Ángeles Negros.
Grupo Niche also played again in Montreal, on July 15, 2006, in the festival colombiano, October 2008 and on May 8, 2010, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band. [5] According to the Latin site Hola Calgary on October 11, 2008, Grupo Niche played at the Jack Singer Concert Hall EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts in Calgary, Alberta .
