Kallur Kot Tehsil (Urdu: تحصِيل كلُوركوٹ) is a Tehsil of Bhakkar District in Punjab, Pakistan. The city of Kallurkot is the headquarters of the Tehsil, an administrative subdivision of the district created in 1982. [1] Kallurkot is the capital and largest city of Bhakkar.
Bhakkar was founded probably in late 15th century by a group of colonists from Dera Ismail Khan, and is named after Bakhar Khan. [3] [4] It came under Humayun's rule after he restored the Mughal Empire in 1555 and appointed Khan Khanan as the governor of the city alongside Multan, [5] as Multan was a province of the Mughal empire that included the city of Bhakkar.

Union Council Litten is a large union council in Bhakkar District. The name "Litten" is said to be derived from the name of an elder who built a mud house with a sloping roof to prevent rainwater from collecting on it. It is said that a passing elder remarked that the roof was "laten" (sloped), and the name stuck.
