The Southernmost House Historic Inn. The Southernmost House is a historic mansion in the U.S. city of Key West, in Monroe County, Florida. Five U.S. Presidents have stayed there. The house is located in the Upper Duval district and has been converted into a bed and breakfast.

Construction on the house began in 1848 and was completed in 1851 [5] by Asa Tift, a marine architect and salvage wrecker, in a French Colonial estate style. [6] The house's site, across the street from the Key West Lighthouse, [7] has an elevation of 16 feet (4.9 m) above sea level, making it the second-highest site on the island.
The Dr. Joseph Y. Porter House is a historic home in Key West, Florida. It is located at 429 Caroline Street. On June 4, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The original construction was built in 1838 by Judge James Webb, [2] the first Federal Judge of the Southern District of the Florida Territory. [3]
