Lamont Roach Jr. (born August 18, 1995) is an American professional boxer who has held the WBA super featherweight title since 2023. Roach was a decorated amateur, winning gold medals at the National Golden Gloves and USA Boxing Youth National Championships in 2013.
The super featherweight division was established by the New York Walker Law in 1920, although first founded [clarification needed] by the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) in 1930. The first English champion was "Battling Kid" Nelson in 1914, who lost his title to Benny Berger in 1915. Artie O’Leary also won this title in 1917.
Genaro Hernández (May 10, 1966 – June 7, 2011) was a Mexican American professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1998.
