The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi; (انسٹيٹيوٹ آف بزنس ايڈمنسٹريشن) is a public university in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. IBA is owned by Government of Sindh. Established initially as a business school, the IBA has expanded to include programs in Computer Science, Social Sciences and more.
IBA was founded in 1966 in collaboration with Indiana University, Bloomington, under a Ford Foundation Financial Assistance Program with the objective of providing professional training to create future business leaders. The founder-director of IBA is M. Safiullah. IBA began by launching its flagship MBA program.
Admission to the institute requires students to undergo a selection procedure. Students must meet the minimum required grade point average (GPA) in HSC and SSC or equivalent examinations to be eligible for the admission test. This academic record accounts for 25% of the total admission test score.
