PLOS Computational Biology is a monthly peer-reviewed open access scientific journal covering computational biology. It was established in 2005 by the Public Library of Science in association with the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) in the same format as the previously established PLOS Biology and PLOS Medicine.
It was founded in 2000 and launched its first journal, PLOS Biology, in October 2003. As of 2024, PLOS publishes 14 academic journals, [ 2 ] including 7 journals indexed within the Science Citation Index Expanded , and consequently 7 journals ranked with an impact factor .
This is a list of open-access journals by field. The list contains notable journals which have a policy of full open access. It does not include delayed open access journals, hybrid open access journals, or related collections or indexing services.
