Martin Ramon Razon Nievera (born February 5, 1963) is a Filipino singer and songwriter. Known for his contemporary love ballads and on-stage personality, [ 5 ] he is celebrated as one of the most important figures in local Filipino music.
Martin Nievera and Regine Velasquez first collaborated in 1986 on the variety show The Penthouse Live!, where the former was a host. [1] Velasquez had just released her single "Love Me Again" under the name Chona, and it was Nievera who later suggested she adopt the stage name Regine. [ 1 ]
Martin Nievera co-wrote and features in the song "Forever". He also worked with Velasquez on "You Are My Song" and "Goodbye". He also worked with Velasquez on "You Are My Song" and "Goodbye". Gary Valenciano co-wrote "Sana Maulit Muli", while Velasquez provided guest vocals for Valenciano's "Each Passing Night" and "Muli".

Although she recorded a song before the album titled "Love Me Again" released through OctoArts, but with her name "Chona Velasquez". However, in 1986, after performing in Martin Nievera's late night TV program "The Penthouse Live!" aired over GMA Radio Television Arts, Nievera suggested that she use her own name which is "Regine" than her nickname.
