Team Umizoomi is an American live-action/animated musical preschool children's television series created by Soo Kim, Michael T. Smith, and Jennifer Twomey, and developed by Teri Weiss for Nickelodeon and the Nick Jr. Channel. Twomey and Kim additionally serve as executive producers, and Kim also serves as a producer with Smith and Marcy Pritchard.
The team travels to the bottom of the sea, to rescue the Blue Mermaid, who has been captured by Squiddy the Squid, after she leaves a trail of blue scales to lead them to her. Special Guest Star : American Idol winner and R&B singer Jordin Sparks voices the character of the Blue Mermaid.
The company is known for its flagship work such as the preschool television series A Little Curious for HBO, Little Einsteins for Disney Jr. and Team Umizoomi for Nick Jr. Other well-known works include Sheep in the Big City and Codename: Kids Next Door for Cartoon Network.
