The 2023 FEI European Dressage Championships will be held in Riesenbeck, Germany, from 4 to 10 September 2023. Other cities who bid to host the Championships were Cascais in Portugal and Vejer de la Frontera in Spain, but both cities withdrew. [ 1 ]
The 2023 FEI World Cup Finals for dressage, show jumping and Vaulting are scheduled to be held April 4–8, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The event is set to be held in the CHI Health Center Omaha and will mark the conclusion of the 2022–23 Dressage , Show jumping and Vaulting World Cup Seasons.
Dressage had three phases. The first phase was the Grand Prix. Top 30 individuals advanced to the second phase, the Grand Prix Special where the first individual medals were awarded. The last set of medals at the 2023 European Dressage Championships was awarded after the third phase, the Grand Prix Freestyle where top 18 combinations competed.

The leg-yield is a required movement in the First Level dressage test. Another use of the leg-yield is in the rider's training, as it is a fairly basic move yet can begin to teach the rider how to use the riding aids independently and bring the horse properly into the outside rein and leg.
