Professor Charles Francis Xavier, also known as Professor X is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963).
Born Charles Xavier Thomas in Colmar, France, his father was a doctor and member of the town council. [1] After a short employment in the French administration, Thomas joined the French army in 1809. By 1813, he had risen to the position of General Manager of the supply store for all the armies stationed in Spain.
