Castlefield Viaduct is a 330 m (1,080 ft) disused railway viaduct built in 1892, which used to carry heavy rail traffic in and out of the Great Northern Warehouse, located in the Castlefield area of Manchester, England. It closed in 1969 and stood unused, though has been regularly maintained by National Highways.
The canal basin at Castlefield is crossed by four large railway viaducts dating from 1848, 1877 and 1898. [38] The southern viaduct in the group of three is the 1849 red brick viaduct of the Manchester, South Junction and Altrincham Railway with its cast iron arch bridge over the Rochdale Canal.

The viaduct fronted a solid brick warehouse, a construction that owed much to canal warehouses, beyond which was a low-level yard that was excavated into the hillside. There was a wooden transit shed at the viaduct end, on the corner of Liverpool Road and Byrom Street and turnplates gave access to coal drops at the end of the yard.
