Arena do Grêmio Estádio da Baixada in the 1930s. Grêmio's original stadium was the Estádio da Baixada, built in 1904 at the upper-class neighbourhood of Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre. It was made to please the city's growing colony of Germans, who were concentrated in the region. The Estádio da Baixada hosted Grêmio until 1954.
