This list of airports in Texas (a U.S. state) is grouped by type and sorted by location.It contains all public-use and military airports in the state. Some private-use and former airports may be included where notable, such as airports that were previously public-use, those with commercial enplanements recorded by the FAA or airports assigned an IATA airport code.
Wichita Falls Regional Airport (IATA: SPS [3], ICAO: KSPS, FAA LID: SPS) is a public and military use airport six miles north of Wichita Falls in Wichita County, Texas. [2] Its runways and taxiways are shared with Sheppard Air Force Base; most operations are military, but American Eagle flies commercial flights to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The postal abbreviation is the same as the ISO 3166-2 subdivision code for each of the fifty states. These codes do not overlap with the 13 Canadian subnational postal abbreviations. The code for Nebraska changed from NB to NE in November 1969 to avoid a conflict with New Brunswick. [4]

Spur 487 was designated on January 30, 1970, from Loop 374 (now Bus. US 83) in McAllen south along Ware Road to US 83. On December 19, 1996, by district request, Spur 487 was cancelled and transferred to UR 2220 (now FM 2220) to provide a continuous route for FM 2220.
Spur 121 was designated on May 29, 1941, from SH 227 to Terlingua as a replacement of a section of SH 118 (this section was formerly a spur of SH 227 before 1939). On February 20, 1946, Spur 121 was cancelled: a 0.4 mile portion in Big Bend National Park was turned over to the National Park Service and the remainder was removed from the highway ...
