The International Extreme Truck Series (often identified by the acronym XT) is a range of pickup trucks produced by Navistar International from 2004 to 2008. The first International-brand vehicle marketed for non-commercial sale since 1980, the XT line also marked the return of the company to pickup truck production since the final generation of the (smaller) Light Line pickup trucks in 1975.
Models: Auto Wagon AA, AW, MA, MW, MAX, MWX. The Auto Wagon, a variant of the Auto Buggy of 1907, was the first truck built by International Harvester. It was basically a light wooden wagon with a primitive gasoline engine mounted below the body. They were sometimes called "Highwheelers".
The International TerraStar is a medium-duty truck (Class 4 and 5 [1]) that was manufactured by International Trucks from 2010 to 2015. The smallest conventional-cab truck ever produced by International, the TerraStar competed against chassis-cab vehicles derived from large pickup trucks along with the smallest versions of the Freightliner M2 and Hino 600.

The International DuraStar line, known as the 4000 series prior to 2008 and the DuraStar Series from 2008 to 2018, is a line of medium-duty trucks produced by Navistar International since 2001. [1] Introduced as the successor to the International 4000 series of 1989–2001, the 4000 series was renamed the DuraStar in 2008.
The International Harvester Company (IHC) has been building its own proprietary truck engines since the introduction of their first truck in 1907. International tended to use proprietary diesel engines. In the 1970s, IHC built the DVT 573 V-8 diesel of 240 and 260 hp (179 and 194 kW) but these were not highly regarded and relatively few were sold.
The XT-Series was a high-end vehicle sold in a recession by a manufacturer new to the segment (compared to the Big Three). The XT-Series may have missed its target audience; as the article said, International was hoping for business owners to account for most sales while the results may or may not have ended up that way.
