Westlake Village is a unique, master-planned community, located in Los Angeles County and bordering the City of Thousand Oaks and Ventura County to the east. Development of the lakeside community began in 1966 by the American Hawaiian Steamship Company.

The City has seven parks: Berniece Bennett Park, Canyon Oaks Park, Foxfield Park, Russell Ranch Park, Three Springs Park, Westlake Village Community Park, and Westlake Village Dog Park. Park Hours. Most parks are open for public use daily between dawn and dusk with the exception of Berniece Bennett, Three Springs Park, and Westlake Community Park.
