In 1985, St. David received full funding from the Ontario Ministry of Education, due to the school changing its educational focus to students in grades 9 to OAC. Since the OAC year of secondary school was phased out of Ontario schools in the 2002-2003 school year, St. David CSS now teaches grades 9 through to 12.
