Schools from 34 of the 50 states and the District of Columbia are represented. All schools do not provide athletic scholarships to students.
The 2005 conference realignment cycle brought two rowing schools into the ACC, with Miami and Boston College respectively joining for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
