Adjuntas (Spanish pronunciation: [aðˈxuntas]) is a small mountainside town and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the central midwestern portion of the island on the Cordillera Central, north of Yauco, Guayanilla, and Peñuelas; southeast of Utuado; east of Lares and Yauco; and northwest of Ponce.

[1] [4] [5] [6]As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called pueblo which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church.
From 1976 it was converted, with government assistance, [3] into one of Puerto Rico's earliest paradores, and ran, administered by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, as a 21-room agro-hotel. At 1,600 ft (490 m) above sea level, visitors could enjoy the view and the peacefulness of the Puerto Rican mountains. [ 4 ]
