To qualify, a competitor must compete in one of the 12 PRCA U.S. regional circuits; Montana, Mountain States, Wilderness, Columbia River, California, Turquoise, Texas, Prairie, Badlands, Great Lakes, Southeast, and First Frontier. Barrel racing originally developed as an event for women. In early barrel racing, the pattern alternated between a figure-eight and a cloverleaf pattern. The figure-eight was eventually dropped in favor of the more difficult cloverleaf. [1] It is believed that competitive barrel racing was first held in Texas.
She and Rocky hit a barrel in one round of this year's NFR. She was the reserve barrel racing world champion in 2003 behind Janae Ward. They got a no time in the 7th round, when Rocky ducked a barrel, at this NFR. [2] Kaminski won the barrel racing world championship two years consecutively. In 2004, she won $96,665 in the regular season.
