Charlotte County is a United States county located in the south central part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its county seat is the town of Charlotte Court House. [1] As of the 2020 census, the county population was 11,529. [2] Charlotte County is predominantly rural with a population density of only 26.5 persons per square mile.
Keysville is in eastern Charlotte County. U.S. routes 15 and 360, a four-lane highway, forms the eastern border of the town, while Virginia State Route 40 passes through the center. US 15 leads north 20 miles (32 km) to Farmville, and US 360 leads northeast 20 miles (32 km) to Burkeville.

The town is located near the center of Charlotte County. Virginia State Route 40 passes through the town center, leading west 19 miles (31 km) to Brookneal and east 9 miles (14 km) to Keysville. Virginia State Route 47 crosses Route 40 in the center of town, leading north 17 miles (27 km) to Pamplin and south 13 miles (21 km) to U.S. Route 15.
