Elite Dangerous is the fourth game in the Elite video game series. It is the sequel to Frontier: First Encounters, [9] released in 1995, becoming the top selling game for Christmas of that Year. By November 2012, Frontier began a Kickstarter campaign for ED due to the inability to secure a publisher.
