Jagga Jasoos (transl. Detective Jagga) is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language musical adventure comedy film [4] written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. It stars Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.
Jagga Jasoos and Secret Superstar led the ceremony with 10 nominations each, followed by Tumhari Sulu with 9 nominations. Jagga Jasoos won 4 awards, including Best Music Director (for Pritam ) and Best Lyricist (for Amitabh Bhattacharya for "Ullu Ka Pattha"), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

Basu was born into an upper-middle-class Bengali Hindu family in Bhilai, Madhya Pradesh (now in Chhattisgarh).His parents, Subrato Bose and Deepshikha Bose [ex-executives in SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant in Cokeovens and Education department (Organic Chemistry) respectively], were award-winning theatrical artists and Basu grew up watching them performing in his father's theatre company (Abhiyaan).
Vijay Ganguly (born 1980) is an Indian choreographer known for Jagga Jasoos (2017), Andhadhun (2018), Stree (2018) and Love Aaj Kal (2020). He won the 2018 Filmfare Award for Best Choreography for the song "Galti Se Mistake" in Jagga Jasoos, for which he also won the 2018 IIFA for Best Choreography and 2017 Zee Cine Awards for Best Choreography.
