Jacob is a fictional character of the ABC television series Lost played by Mark Pellegrino. He was first mentioned as the true leader of the Others by Ben Linus and was described as a "great man" that was also "brilliant", "powerful" and "unforgiving". [1] He made his first appearance in the final episode of season five.
In season one, he kills the pilot of Oceanic 815. His avatars include Jacob's twin brother, Jack's father Christian, Eko's brother Yemi, and John Locke. In "The Incident", The Man in Black (in his real form) and Jacob converse on the beach as the Black Rock ship approaches in 1867.
