Okemos Schools Mascot / "nickname" [ edit ] In the opening section, the "nickname" of Okemos athletics is said to be the chiefs - that is no longer accurate as of 2012, at least in Okemos High School (I don't have a source but I went to school there when the mascot was officially removed).
