Wardensville is a town in Hardy County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 265 at the 2020 census. [2] Originally named Trout Run, Wardensville was chartered in Virginia in 1832 and incorporated in West Virginia in 1879. Wardensville is located west of the Great North Mountain range, which separates it from the Shenandoah Valley.

Lost River State Park is a state park located in Hardy County, West Virginia near the community of Mathias. The park encompasses 3,712 acres (15.02 km 2) managed by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Despite the name of the park, it does not abut the Lost River; it lies about 2.3 miles (3.7 km) west of the river.
Newaygo State Park is a public recreation area covering 400 acres (160 ha) on the south side of Hardy Dam Pond in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. The state park sits atop 20-foot (6.1 m) embankments overlooking the six-mile-long (10 km), 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) impoundment of the Muskegon River .
