Phyllis Hudecki is an American educator from Oklahoma. Hudecki was appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin to serve as her Secretary of Education. As Secretary, Hudecki oversees all aspects of elementary and secondary education, vocational education and higher education for the State.
The position of Secretary of Education was established, along with the Oklahoma Governor's Cabinet, by the Executive Branch Reform Act of 1986. Shirley concurrently serves as president of Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City and as Oklahoma Secretary of Education and Workforce Development.
