It was released on February 14, 2023, by Sony Music, The Orchard, and Polachek's imprint Perpetual Novice. [1] [2] [3] Polachek produced most of the album alongside Danny L Harle.
A music video was released on December 12, 2022. [8] Directed by Polachek and her partner, artist Matt Copson, the visual shows her pushing away sperm, running across a construction site, vomiting coffee over a volcano background and more. Her song "Sunset" from Desire, I Want To Turn Into You is featured in the 2023 film After Everything. [42] On October 17, 2023, Polachek released the single "Dang". [43] Months later on February 7, 2024, she released a remix of her song "Butterfly Net" with Weyes Blood. [44]

The single was recorded during the studio sessions for Polachek's second album under her own name, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, released in February 2023. In spring 2023, A. G.
