The Satellite is a lesser known monophonic [3] analog synthesizer that was manufactured by Moog Music from 1973 to 1979 [4] in response to the ARP Pro Soloist. [5] It had one VCO. It was designed for use with any organ or sound system. The American company Thomas Organ bought the license to build it. [6] The case is made out of wood.
That latter introduction to the Thomas line led to developments much like those found of synthesizers of later years; one later version, the 1973 Monticello, actually incorporated a synthesizer in its upper manual which actually was a Moog synthesizer. It was found on the MONTICELLO Models 371 & 372 and also on the CELEBRITY Model 871.
