William Wayne Blanks (born September 1, 1955) is an American actor, martial artist and fitness personality. He was a nationally ranked competitor in semi-contact and point karate during the 1980s, [ 4 ] [ 5 ] winning a bronze medal at the 1981 World Games , [ 3 ] before creating the Tae Bo exercise program.
The film stars Billy Blanks, Kenn Scott, Christine Taylor, Ken McLeod, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Brion James. [1] The movie is reminiscent of 1984's The Karate Kid. Blanks has the Pat Morita role and Scott is in Ralph Macchio's; Taylor and McLeod have the Elisabeth Shue and William Zabka roles, respectively, while Kilpatrick is in Martin Kove's.
