The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary (FGBNMS) is a United States National Marine Sanctuary located 100 nautical miles (120 mi; 190 km) off of Galveston, Texas, in the northwestern Gulf of America. It contains the northernmost coral reefs in the United States.
The garden was launched on Valentine's Day in 2013. [1] It occupies over 72,000 square metres (780,000 sq ft), making it the world's largest flower garden, featuring over 50 million flowers and 250 million plants.
