In 1954, Eichleay was under contract for the construction of three NIKE missile sites in Pennsylvania. The government changed the scope of work, resulting in change orders.

Guerber, a mechanical engineer and graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology operating originally out of Allentown, Pennsylvania before moving to West Bethlehem. In 1913, William B. M. Hutchinson was named president and chairman of Guerber Engineering. [1]
