Javier Romero (born November 1, 1964) is a Cuban-American radio and television host. He works for WAMR-FM, where he hosts El Desayuno [1] and Univision. [2] He was previously the co-host of Sábado Gigante. [3] In 2021, he became the first Cuban American to be inducted in the Radio Hall of Fame. [4] [5]
Throughout the show's run, product placement has been a vital part of Sabado Gigante. Whenever a certain product is advertised during the show, Don Francisco, along with the audience, would sing that product's jingle. Otherwise, he, one of the co-presenters or Javier Romero will describe the product.
In 1986, De Pool joined the cast of the long-running variety show Sabado Gigante on Univision, co-hosting alongside Don Francisco and Rolando Barral. Barral left the show shortly afterwards and De Pool remained the only co-host until abruptly leaving in 1991, when he was replaced by Javier Romero. [2]

Between 2014 and 2015 he was one of the co-hosts of the successful program Sábado gigante, together with the renowned Chilean animator Mario Kreutzberger, better known as Don Francisco, as well as Javier Romero, Alejandra Espinoza, Aleyda Ortíz, & Rosina Grosso, among others. In 2015 he participated in Amor de barrio, playing Gabriel Madrigal.
