South Park was served by three mayors in its four-and-one-half years of existence as an independent town: S. J. Bevan (1902–1903), G. C. Lingenfelter (1903–1905), and A. G. Breidenstein (1906–1907). South Park was plagued by problems in securing adequate city services. Particularly vexing was the inability to obtain a decent water supply.
It opened in 1931 and spanned the Duwamish River, connecting the South Park neighborhood with the rest of Seattle. It was demolished in 2010 due to safety concerns. Aspira is a 400-foot-tall (122 m) skyscraper in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It has 37 floors, and mostly consists of apartments, of which there are 325 units. Parking spaces total 355. Construction began in 2007 and was completed in late 2009.
