Actually, the Mario Party character was first given the name Koopa Kid in Mario Party 4. I don't know offhand if Bowser or the Koopa Kids themselves mentioned it on the boards, but if he wins the unlockable volleyball game, his name is clearly displayed as Koopa Kid.
