Sapardi Djoko Damono (20 March 1940 – 19 July 2020) was an Indonesian poet known for lyrical poems, and who was widely regarded as the pioneer of lyrical poetry in Indonesia. [1] He died in South Tangerang, Banten on 19 July 2020 after a long illness.
He wrote about contemporaries Rendra in 2003 and Sapardi Djoko Damono in 2006. At the end of his career, he served as professor emeritus at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He died on 11 October 2014. [2] [3]

Reda Gaudiamo (born 1962) is an Indonesian author and musician. Her birthplace was Surabaya in East Java. [1] She formed a duo with Ari Malibu in 1982 called AriReda. At first they played covers of songs by John Denver and Simon and Garfunkel, then they released albums in which they set the poetry of Sapardi Djoko Damono to music. [2]
