This Neo-Renaissance building opened July 25, 1918, and served as a library until 1995. In March 1901, a town meeting action appropriated $50 to help establish a public library. Appropriations were increased to $200 in 1902 and 1903. In March 1902, the Bristol Library Association turned over its property, which included 1095 books and a large collection of magazines, to the town. The Bristol Public Library was established.
