Rosemont is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, located immediately northwest of Chicago. As of the 2020 census, the village had a population of 3,952. [ 2 ] The village was incorporated in 1956, though it had been settled long before that.

Stephens was appointed village president of Rosemont by the Village of Rosemont Board of Trustees on May 1, 2007, two weeks after his father, Donald Stephens, died in office. He was sworn in on May 6. [13] He was elected to a full term in 2009 with 91% of the vote, [14] and has been reelected as village president in 2013, 2017, and 2021.
During his tenure, Rosemont grew from a tiny community of only 85 to one of Illinois' most politically important communities, with over 4,000 residents as well as the nation's tenth-largest convention center. Stephens also oversaw the construction of the 18,500-seat Allstate Arena (formerly the Rosemont Horizon) and the Rosemont Theatre. [1]

As of the 2020 census [1] there were 86,018 people, 30,840 households, and 21,445 families residing in the township. The population density was 1,844.14 inhabitants per square mile (712.03/km 2).
