The football team won the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C championship in 2008. [4] The Trojans completed the season with a 13–0 record. Coach Jay Sirianni was named New York State Class C Coach of the Year. Quarterback Zack Sopak and lineman Jasen Carlson were named to the first team All-State football team.
Sirianni was born on June 15, 1981, in Jamestown, New York, the son of Fran and Amy Sirianni. His father was a middle school science teacher and the former head football coach at Southwestern Central High School in West Ellicott, New York, where Nick graduated in 1999. [1] He is of Italian descent through his father with roots in Calabria. [2]
