Gustav Klimt (14 July 1862 – 6 February 1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d'art.
Christian Nebehay was born in Leipzig, Germany, son of the art dealer Gustav Nebehay and his wife Marie (née Sonntag). In his early childhood he had made the acquaintance of the artist Gustav Klimt, a friend of his father's, who dedicated three of his drawings to the Nebehay family. [1] [2] [3]
