I believe the prose is more accurate. Honestly I'd like to limit the table to true facial hair (mustache or beards) and knock off the sideburns and temporary-beard entries. They can be mentioned in prose. As a historical matter, the mustache/beard presidents have been the subject of the sources cited, and even the subject of statistical studies.--
