  2. Difference in USA vs Japanese made Toyotas? - Edmunds

    forums.edmunds.com/.../toyota/corolla/difference-in-usa-vs-japanese-made-toyotas

March 2009 edited July 2014. Is there a significant difference in quality between a Toyota that was assembled in Japan vs one that is assembled in the USA? I am in the market for a used Toyota and am choosing between two Corollas--a 1994 model made in Japan and the other a 1996 made in the USA.

  3. Is "Made in Mexico" necessarily a bad thing? - Edmunds

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/6175/general

That said, I own two USA built Japanese cars now (an Accord built in Ohio and an Odyssey built in Alabama) and they are great. However I also once owned a Mexico built Chrysler Sebring convertible and it was very well screwed together.

Honda CR-V Manufactured Where? j_ph Member Posts: 19. March 2007 edited December 2013. It seems that all the cars on the lots in NJ are from Japan, wasn't Ohio supposed to be producing CR-Vs by now? or are they tooling up for the 08's? Tagged:

  5. What does Volvo USA sell my Volvo to the Dealer for at end of ......

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/71613/volvo/x/what-does-volvo-usa-sell-my-volvo...

If someone can help I can provide whatever particulars are needed. Years ago I bought out my Audi lease where the lease end buyout was about the same but made a deal work with a dealer where I bought it for $1k over their cost which was substantially less than my $29k buyout. I just figure that similar math applies to Volvos.

  6. CITROEN DS-21 — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/2167/general/x/citroen-ds-21

You are right, the DS-21 was a remarkable car way ahead of its time. The car often wins journalists polls as one of the most significant post world war II cars every made. But complexity has its price, and on foreign shores with only Chevrolet mechanics to rely on, the Citroen owner in the USA was left high and dry by the factory.

  9. Oil Filters, whose is best, and Why? — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/2147/ford/x/oil-filters-whose-is-best-and-why

My experience with oil analysis is that the following three filters are better at doing their job over extended drain intervals of 7,500-12,000 miles, better then OEM, at least in my Toyota's case. Amsoil/Hastings, Mobil 1 and Pure One (not the Purolator Premium but the Pure One made by Puralator) Posts: 1,118.

  10. Honda Odyssey 2010 EX...WORST VEHICLE IN 35 YEARS!

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/14388/honda/odyssey/honda-odyssey-2010-ex-worst...

NONE of the new cars made today for the past 13-16 years can match the high reliability rating score with the 1995-1998 Honda Odyssey. When the Odyssey transferred production to North America in 1999, reliability sank by more than 70%, and it still continues to be at that range today.

  11. Acura TL vs Lincoln MKZ — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

    forums.edmunds.com/discussion/16293/acura/tl/acura-tl-vs-lincoln-mkz

The TL seems like a machined turbine to me whereas the Lincoln is more like a nice taxi. Acura's fit and finish blows away Lincoln's, the TL's presence at high speeds is sturdier and more refined, Lincoln's D-L thing is so ancient as well as the funky guages, etc etc etc.
